I got a B18C (type R) motor in my 92 si hatch and I having vtec issues, motor is brand new less then 20k miles. When I hit my vtec range which is at 5800 my vtec will work but sometimes engage and disengage kind of like as if where simotaniously turning on,off,on/vtec,pause,vtec you get the picture.. I was thinking more like a ECU problem or dirty vtec solonoid/bad grounding/poor(low)oil lvls... Can I have some of you peeps output??

 

how is your oil level? where is your pressure switch ground connected at, and what ecu?

 

Like you said I would start out checking the oil. If it doesn't seam to be that then check your VTEC solenoid. Do you have an aftermarket or flashed ecu?

 

also check your distributor as well.

make sure that your oil pan isnt dented. will hender your oil flo and pressure

 

Thanx guys the poblem was that my ECU was bad changed to a chipped OBD2 p73 and yes you can chip the OBD2 ECUs had a friend do it for me but car runs perfect now was stressin out but thnx for all your guys help
