my 92 eg consistentley boggs when i have less than a quarter of a tank...usually i am on the freeway and somehow manage to LIMP it to a nearby gas station. why is it doing this, i have searched and i am still not sure if this was a symptom?

 

do fuel pumps gradually get weaker then?

Yes, follow your less than 6th grade adequate knowledge base and believe &lt; is a greater than sign and &gt; is a less than sign.

Or the fact that you passively declare so much that it's NOT under ANY conditions your fuel pump.

That wasn't my main point, but it does matter.

My main point was simply that it sounds like your fuel pump, that's where I'd place my money.

If you want to listen to me and temporarily swap it with a known working one to see what happens, go for it, if you want to label me as an "idiot" and not touch the fuel pump, fine again, I still sleep at night.

I was trying to help you, both with your car problem and your math problem.

I might be missing something but the guy in the thread seems to have a car that's working fine and a gas gauge that's stuck.

The OP seems to have a car that's bogging out.

Either way, I got work to do, I'm out, my suggestion of "fuel pump" stays...good luck fixing it.

alright well thanks for you're input... i do not think it is the sending unit as well.

EDIT: actually it might be, im going to look more into the sending unit, bc that would make sense.
