Default little help guys

How am i able to separate these two pieces? i have use alot of liquid wrench and the bolt came off no probably but how am i able to separate these two pieces? Is the threaded bolt area connected to the upper piece or the lower?

Now with this side while i was taking the nut off which was turning easily the bolt area was also spinning with the nut! The nut moved down the bolt shaft about 3 turns until the bolt starting to move with the nut. What could be happening here?

All help is appreciated.

go to autozone or your local parts store and ask for a ball-joint seperator

For the upper ball joint, you can tap it with a smaller hammer. This will eventuall break the ball joint loose.

The same goes for the tie rod end. There seems to be rust around these pieces. Spray some WD-40 and let it sit as well.

Exactly! I believe depending on which Autozone you're at....they can "lend" you this tool for a small deposit that you will get back in FULL when you return it, minus like...sales tax or something.

Good luck man!

To keep that bolt from spinning, you'll want to use an air tool - preferably a gun. To separate the ball joints from the spindle, you grease the open end of the pickle fork - that's the rod with the tines on it that you pictured - insert it between the two and strike it very hard with a heavy hammer.

Done deal. Welcome to suspension
