Default T25 Turbo on F22a1?

Hello fellow H-T members. Well, I am about to buy a T25 turbo DSM set-up. And I would like to get more information about turboing a car. Yes don't worry, I've been reading up and searching here and all over the web about turbo information. Asking people, ect. Its been about two years now and I have been waiting to turbo my already slow Prelude SOHC NON-VTEC F22a1.

The person that I am buying the kit from is also a fellow H-T member. The DSM kit is bassically complete. Here is the list of things that I'm going to buy from him.

Turbo XS dual stage boost controller
Chipped p06
DSM manifold re-drilled to fit f22a1 with t25 turbo
DSM 450cc injectors
Custom 2.5" turbo downpipe
Stealthmode oil lines
Tapped f22 oil pan

He was also selling SMIC but I told him that I am going to buy a FMIC. I know that I need to buy a few more items like OBD2 => OBD1 converson harness (1996 Prelude ) I am going to run a Hondata s300, FMIC, BOV.

My question is, what else do I need for this set up? I know the T25 is small but hey it works! I am looking for atleast 250-280 WHP, with this set up, with stock internals, can I reach that goal? Yes no? Can anyone point me into the right derection into reaching my goal? thanks!

With that turbo and that engine you won't see the power you want. I was hoping for 260 whp with my dsm route on a stock h23 using a 16g turbo.

Yeah, unfortunately that turbo is too small for the power gain you want. It is great for the 2.0litered engines though. Spools fast at low rpm but then levels off before you hit the higher rpms.

You will need a T3 and above for your power goal.

T25 is WAAAHAAAAAY too small for those power goals... You'll need a much bigger Turbo to reach your power goals. You'd be lucky to break 200whp wth that setup you're talking about.

What about the 16g turbo? I have been researching and the 16g would bolt up with that manifold. Maybe I can get to 230whp with a very good tune, with the 16g?

EVOIII 16G, or 20G, probably...

<<<< DSM guy.

But honestly, for the price you'd spend on a 16G or a 20G, you may as well buy a used 60 trim, and do it right.

Just spend a little money man, you'll be glad you did.
