Default T25 DSM set-up on F22a1

Hello fellow H-T members. Well, I am about to buy a T25 turbo DSM set-up. And I would like to get more information about turboing a car. Yes don't worry, I've been reading up and searching here and all over the web about turbo information. Asking people, ect. Its been about two years now and I have been waiting to turbo my already slow Prelude SOHC NON-VTEC F22a1.

The person that I am buying the kit from is also a fellow H-T member. The DSM kit is bassically complete. Here is the list of things that I'm going to buy from him.

Turbo XS dual stage boost controller
Chipped p06
DSM manifold re-drilled to fit f22a1 with t25 turbo
DSM 450cc injectors
Custom 2.5" turbo downpipe
Stealthmode oil lines
Tapped f22 oil pan

He was also selling SMIC but I told him that I am going to buy a FMIC. I know that I need to buy a few more items like OBD2 => OBD1 converson harness (1996 Prelude ) I am going to run a Hondata s300, FMIC, BOV.

My question is, what else do I need for this set up? I know the T25 is small but hey it works! I am looking for atleast 250-280 WHP, with this set up, with stock internals, can I reach that goal? Yes no? Can anyone point me into the right derection into reaching my goal? thanks!

*****UPDATE:
I've done a bit more reading on the T25 turbo. It does seem to be a bit small, but I read that it doesnt hold boost up to the higher RPM. But I think it might be an alright set up for my car, (6200 red line). Like I said, I not looking for massive whp just around 240-280ish.

imo the t25 is way to small for the
f22,maybe just a little bigger.

i suggest an intercooler(i dont see one on your list)

the few turbo f22a1 motors ive seen all had low hp numbers for some reason. common sense says they would at least be higher than the better d series motors. from what ive seen, i think you may have a hard time hitting 200whp.

your goals are more realistic with a 16g or bigger turbo and some bolt ons.

The t25 is a really small turbo, you will see boost very early in the rpm but it wont hold till redline. It will be perfect for you since you are not building a dyno queen. I too am planning on using a t25 in a future build, but on a much smaller motor ( 1.5 toyota 4afe)

Seconded, the 16g is considered a 300whp+ turbo. I plan on doing an f22a1 boost project on a 91 accord I got for free, dsm/14b, 2 mandrels going right to the TB, tuned on crome. All I want is a boosted beater, as my other car's motor is almost done.

The F22 has enough torque to spool the bigger turbo, but if your goal is more like mine (barely 200whp w/zero lag on a car you got for free), then the stock dsm turbo will be fine.

I'd just be curious if thats the 2nd gen t25 or actual 14b. The t25 is 200whp at the most, but the 14b has done 238whp+ on some d16 setups.

cuz most are using dsm manifold with tiny dsm turbos.

there are plenty of 280 and up whp f22's out there. suprdave tuned a turbo f22b1 that was stock from oil pan to valve cover and it made 335whp, mrwonderful had a f22b1 w/ just headstuds making around 300whp as well. teamlegacy made like 270whp/240tq on f22a dsm setup with an evoIII 16g

f22 stock 8.8:1 CR + a log mani + a t3/to4b/to4e/t3-60 etc...will make over 260whp easily

yeah, people get low numbers because they are using junkyard parts.

yeah well I think i'll pick up the kit, put it on, buy all the parts I need, tune it and see where I am at. I have been doing so more research and found out that the manifold that I am goinng to get will bolt up with the 16g. And yes I am planning to get the 16g Maybe that will put me to the 230 whp with a very very good tune maybe?

a t25 is the most worthless pos turbo. ive had 3 turbo dsm's and the t25 is by far the worst ****** turbo ever. just my .02. even on a f22 i think you should go bigger. Dont waste your money on **** parts, your only going to be spending money on better parts down the road anyways. So why not save up and do it right the first time and be done. If you cant afford much try spraying the car with a 50 wet single fogger shot and when you get a fuel pump and 1 step colder plugs up it to 75 and leave at that till you can afford a better turbo kit with a better turbo and manifold.
