Can't get the bolt out for the alternator?

Default Can't get the bolt out for the alternator?

The adjuster bolt was not a problem but the other one is not being cool. I got the nut of but I cant get the stud out Ive hit it with a hammer and it wont move. What should I do? The car is a 90 CRX Si. Thanks Justin

i had the same prob i ended up taking it to a shop and all they did was used a bigger hammer and a medal rod. si i say get a bigger hammer lol

He's right though, dont be a ***** just get a long standard tip screw driver and hammer and give'r. If it's on the ground lcok the wheels all the way to the left. To get the alt out you'll have to snake it over to the passenger side of the compartment apparently.

leave the nut on it but loosend almost all the way off. and get a bfh (big ****** hammer) and go at it. my 86 civic gave me some problems until i got my bfh out.

Had same problem. I unbolted the bracket from the engine, 2 bolts if I remember correctly. Then once it is outside of the car, you can use the BFH more effectively. I slathered anti-seize all over that bolt when I put it back in.
