ok i got a 95 accord with a new radiator that i brought iek a month ago.. well today while i was driving i parked it and notice coolant on the top part of the rad.... is it normal for coolant to come out the top of the fins.... my friend its normal. it just the coolant pressure was high so some of the coolant escape from the top.. doesn't look like its leaking or nothing..

A new ... radiator cap might help..
Or maybe its a leak, and in that case just use the warranty on the radiator and ur good, but the radiator cap I would check first

if you said the fingers. (clamp like structure_ I think the radiator is mess up. I suggest warranty, or replace. Cap is just for pressure, if it cant hold pressure, engine cant be warm up to oper. temp.

1)your friend is stupid. the pressure in the cooling system is to keep the coolant from boiling at normal boiling temperature. by pressurizing the system you bump up the boiling point of the radiator. if the water is coming up form the cap, it could means the coolant is boiling inside, which could be number of things including not enough coolant, overheating, fan not coming on, rad is totally dead(1.1 lbs to no bar)

2)where is the water/coolant from, is it boiling from the cap? or from the fins/plastic end tank?(more like a flow of hot coolant shooting)

well it stop doing it.. a new rad comes with new cap.. so i don't think its the cap... maybe hit a bump causing the rad to shift and spill out coolant from the tvery top of the rad.. i mean the rad do have cracks in them at the very very top.... which is all rads thats like that.. i don't know what them cracks/open spaced are for.. but oh well..

any way you can get a picture of the area in which you are trying to describe?

also, don't take things for granted. Just because it's new doesn't always mean it's working correctly.
