Default sooo I converted my EG to complete cable clutch setup...

I figured you fab guys would appreciate this somewhat haha.

It was free and I needed the car on the road yesterday. I have $28 in my checking account but I've already got an air compressor with cutting tools, a plasma gun, a welder, etc. and a few misc. pedal sets. So I made what I needed. depending on how it feels after I drive it a little, I'll probably keep it. All my mustangs have cable clutch anyway so I'm used to it.

I have a 90-93 teg clutch setup in my EG so I dont have to go out and buy all the civic hydraulic components AND the cable/hydro conversion cable. Only took me about 4 hours worth of work. I still need to cut the pedal itself and redo the angle a little bit as it sits a bit high but other than that it works perfect. Oh yeah, another reason I did it is because I'm using the complete brake swap from the donor 91 LS and the master cylinder doesnt have the line for the hydraulic slave cylinder.

Looks like it because the bracket is angled up as opposed to flat (manual). It's an innovative mount.

yep, its an innovative auto/manual mount for cable transmissions. I used stock integra mounts for the rest though to keep the cost down.

If that's a used cable, and/or depending on the attatchment point on the pedal, you'll most likely hate it. Its almost on/off engaugement, much stiffer than hydro, and adjustment isn't as easy (even though hydro is basicly self-adjusting). If I ever find a clean EF shell, I'm going with a full hydro conversion.

Anyways, for making it work. It will definately be more fun than an automagic.

took it out for a spin and it actually feels great. shifts smooth and clean. I just gotta pull the pedal back out and re-angle it a bit as it sits a bit high for my taste right now.

other than that it's very firm shifting and quick response so I'm happy for what I have in it.
