Re: (deadline)
Yep, you'll need a hydro b16 tranny for your hydro eg.
If you want to put the motor you have in you eg into your rex you'll need a cable tranny or switch it do hydro via a conversion kit. Which tend to get expensive.

Re: (livebytheboard)
A cable transmission shifts via cables from your shifter to your tranny essentially.
A hydrolic transmission uses a shift linkage and shifts via a slave cylinder which pressurizes fluid through the lines to engage the clutch/shift assembly.

yeah but i was thinking of removing the master cylinder, since the slave comes off w/ the transmittion, then one i have the master removed i can run the cable on the other trans thru my firewall and attatch it to my clutch pedal. would that work?

Uhhhh... Not really. I don't think your following.
it won't be compatible unless you buy a special conversion kit that has special mounts and brackets.
Bottom line, just save yourself the headache and get a hydro tranny.
