The v-afc is a piggy pack controller that allows you to change fueling and that's it. Also, if you are turbo it's a horrible choice since you cannot alter your ignition timing which is key to having a turbo engine last (especially on H series motors). A unit like Hondata or AEM EMS allows you to completely control the fueling and ignition tables as well as many other options to optimally tune every aspect of the car for both reliability and power.

and isn't a basic hondata about the same price anyways? seems like that would be the way to go. I had an SAFC long ago and was never really impressed with it.

GReddy Emanage Ultimate can solve this as well.....fcvk the VAFC.....a jumper harness and the VAFC v.2 will run the same as a S200 setup (untuned)....if my math skills are right

The s100b's retail is 195 now. You really can't beat that price.

isnt emanage ultimate just like a really good vafc, how does it compare to hondata?

eManage is a little more in depth than a v-afc. The ignition module is additional. I don't like working with eManage units. Hondata definetely is a better route.

Not trying to stir ****... But I have friends that have run 9s with no other fuel management than an S-AFC. So they don't suck, there are just better systems out there. You were half right, hahaha, just kidding.

oh but they do suck.....regardless of who can have some success. And if you have a 9 sec car and only running a VAFC/safc for tuning, its a disaster waiting to happen and honestly i would never trust anyone like that to work on my car or give good advice. No one in their right might would recommend a vafc/safc for a turbo honda.

^ Well they run a shop down here, and do pretty well.
The car's been running strong for years, with minor problems here and there (Headgaskets popping, manifolds cracking, transmissions needing work, etc), but the engine has run strong.
(The car's a '91 Eagle Talon TSI AWD Automatic, by the way... DSMs seem to respond well to S-AFCs)
I didn't recommend an AFC for a Turbo Honda, I was just saying they don't completely suck, and there are better systems out there.

On the 1/8th or 1/4? Because a simple swapped hatch can run 9's on the 1/8th. If they are running the afc on a 1/4 and running 9's I guarantee you that it is not in a honda. And if it is a honda, the thing probably wieghs 1000lbs with a driver in it.
