I'm paying $236 a month...full coverage, deductibles of $500 each and I'm female. I also live in Canada so there's another difference. Forgot to mention that I'm 22

$145 / month for the S
$198 / month for the 2001 S and the 1991 EF Civic (DD) that I just picked up last week.

29 years old with USAA.

When I was getting quotes for the S2000, I was looking at a 2004 M/Y as well...cost would've been $30 MORE per month vs the 2001, so getting the lower-priced S2000 was a double plus.

~~~~~~~~~~
A hilarious story is a few years back when I was selling my 1999 Cobra Mustang to some 19 year old kid who just WRECKED his GSR by trying to do a U-TURN at a toll booth...anyways, his mommy had paid a $14k non-refundable deposit so we could pay off the title so there was NO backing out of the deal at that point. When they came to pay the balance and drive it home. He never got an insurance quote, so he had to figure that out in my driveway. I came out to check on if he was ready to go when he's pacing back and fourth mumbling to himself...I ask him what is wrong.
HIM: "It's not right!! It should be illegal!!!!!"
ME: "WHAT isn't right?"
HIM: "$600 for insurance!!!"
ME: "Hmmm, $600 every 6 months...that's not TOOO bad actually"
HIM: "Nooooo man!! $600 EVERY MONTH!!!"
...wow, $7,200 a year!! LOL Should'a looked into that LONG before you called on the ad, huh?
...BTW, my S is covered with a $50 Comprehensive deductible (lowest allowed in FL) and $500 Collision deductible, plus $100k / $200k / $50k coverages. This makes a hefty difference in the premium as well....plus I live in SOUTH FL...that jacks the rate up as well.
Wow...that comes out to $15,012.30 in interest...that bank is LOVING him!! He says he loves the S...even though it's now a $49,000 car? At 19...I doubt he cares as he's most likely not the person making the payments...or he's just making it up to get everyone excited.
I like mine...I shopped around and found one for $12k...and I'm only financing $4,300 with a $108 car payment. It's amazing the smarts that can be acquired in 10 years.
