Insurance.
ive been seriously considering buying an s2k for the last 6 months.
Insurance is going to kill me. I have a sparkly clean record, but my age, and the type of car is really whats gonna do me in.
What I am requesting my fellow HT'ers is to post your age, location, driving record etc. and monthly insurance premium.
Im just curious whos paying what, and if anybody can point me in a good direction...
TIA.

Find your local insurance agent and call (people have been pleased with State Farm and Liberty Mutual). There is no way to guage what your premiums will be. And try to search under "insurance." You'll have more than enough threads to suit your needs.

Thanks for your help...
i was actually hoping to see what all you pay...
I am not trying to guage what my premium will be, based on all of your experiences, but rather to see those of who feel the pain which im almost willing to take the plunge for.

there is already an identical link w/ car payments and insurance...they vary by a lot find yourself a phone book and call every agent thats local for a qoute, our insurance has nothing to do with your qoute, it depends on the type of town u live in ur milage daily commute, in nj my geico qoute was cheaper then the qoute from my homeowners company, even after the discount for having mulitple policies, just gotta make those calls its easy

familys been with statefarm for 20 years. so far all theyve been is a headache and a drain connected directly to our pocket. switched to nationwide and ive never been happier. ive only made 2 claims in my whole life, both with statefarm. i was investigated both times, and treated like a criminal untill the day i got my insurance check. i cant imagine any company being worse. for me that is....
nationwide significantly reduced my payments (by half) and i have full coverage with super low deductables on my s2k. im 20, cars under my name. im in miami, and my insuance comes to about 235 a month.
my teg was MUCH MUCH MUCH more

When we had ours we had Geico...best coverage they had, $250 deductible, no wrecks, no tickets...we were paying $198/month or somewhere around there for our S2000 AND 325Ci (with the same coverage).
Insurance varies so much, this question is moot. I pay more for my FX than we did for our S2000.

lol...i kind of did, i got a new position at work, and pretty much realized that it centered around mindless and pointless meetings with administrative idiots all day...so i decided the money wasnt that important and when it was time for me to put in for the promotion and move from "acting" i just didnt put in for it and i went back to my old position...so i'll be on here more again. I actually hated the fact i didnt get to come on here at all...haha.

college!! All in my name as well
