Insurance rates are so subjective to various factors its hard to tell if it is fair or outragious on really any car...my wife and i pay $197/month for full coverage with $250ded. and the highest coverage rates they had (med/uninsured driver/etc)...that is for both my 325Ci and my wife's S2000 together. My friend is paying $271/month for his S2000 alone with a $500 deductible, and my other friend with a 330Ci is paying $285/month for his with a $250 deductible. Its kinda hard to guesstimate what you yourself will be paying based on what others are paying, i have a ton of discounts on mine for having no accidents, tickets or theft recoveries since i was 17 years old (knock on wood)...my wife has a couple of tickets and one at fault accident. Im also 25 years old...and have all the extra discounts Geico offers on their policies that i could get (including a little silly $80 safe driving course you can take online to lower your premium).

I am thinking about getting one myself, so i called my insurance company to get a quote. I have really awesome coverage with really small deductables. Not sure on the specifics of my coverage, but yea. I just turned 21 so my rates dropped alot.

State Farm - $108 dollars a month... seems unreal, but she said she did everything right in the computer.

i'm 24 with a clean record and i was quoted 2400/year with allstate for an 01 ap1 but i wound up going with AAA for 1600/year full and $500 deductible.

i think for you it would be cheaper to get insured under your parents. when i was 18, i was able to get full coverage for my integra for 1200/year with them whereas it would've been 2g's every six months alone.

I would have them double check that quote, seems extremely low, especially for State Farm, who tend to have some of the higher rates on the market. I have a strong feeling the lady, while feeling she did everything right, screwed up something big time somewhere when throwing that quote at you...because at your age, with as you put it "Good Coverage", i doubt you could get your rate that low even with a $1,000 deductible and comprehensive deductible matched to your regular one.

$82 a month on my '01 w/ full coverage with State Farm. A couple tickets, no accidents.
State Farm has been good to me, they offer a lot of discounts and treat me well.

^^^ How old are you? From what i understand, you can only hold insurance under your parents in certain situations after the age of 18 (that may be georgia only though)...would suck to have that payment now, but in a year or something end up having a sticker shock with a new policy in your own name...possibly doubling or tripling your premium.

I looked on my policy and im actually paying more for my 2 year older bimmer...lol, thought that was kinda funny, especially since the bimmer has more safety features...oh well.
