dynoed the Y8 yesterday
Here is the dyno

Sorry i don't know how to make the pic bigger.
the numbers are 159.89 whp and 142.09wtq
I showed pics of the setup before:
Spoolin performance manifold kit:
2.5" downpipe
2.5" cat and 2 1/4" exhaust (this is killing the topend and spool up)
Fast-turbo oil line kit
Johnny Racecar 6" intercooler
aluminum charge piping
t3/t4 garrett 50 trim w .48 a/r @ 5psi
walboro 255 intank
rc550 injectors (Saturated)
CromePro
Thats about it,
I had a problem making the the map richer past 6000 rpms, when i tried to richen it up even by one or two points it would buck and sputter. Maybe its too much back pressure or something.

dont blame the exhaust too much, my buddy made 230whp at 7psi with a similar turbo on a b16 no cat 2.25 exhaust, part of the problem is the exhaust, sounds like your runing a cat, and 5psi is really low.
I would suggest you look for boost leaks, and exhaust leaks before the turbo. My brother had a gsr, cast mani, 54trim, fmu+hack - made 250whp at 7psi. Thats 50% more than what you have on a worse flowing turbo with similar exhaust and just 11% less displacement. There have been smaller turbos with overall shittier setups on d15's that make that much power at 5-6psi.
In other words, something is wrong. I'd expect 160whp with 5psi on a straight T3 50 trim, not a T3/T04E 50 trim.

They way that dyno graph goes, it looks more like a straight T3 .42/.48. You see how the torque and hp are very close to each other and how it falls flat on it's face after 6.5k which I have seen on every T3 .42/.48 graph.
well this is my first turbo setup and I'm doing all the tuning myself so there is still a learning curve I trying to get over. I haven't touched timing at all, just trying to get a good a/f ratio.
I really think the cat and small exhaust is killing me though
As soon as i get a bigger exhaust I think I'll see much better numbers.

you guys are comparing apples and oranges!
unless this was on the same dyno, and using the same turbo comparing one to the other using psi vs psi is useless!
thats pretty good for 5 psi 50+hp over stock
