Default K20z1 build

hello i am building a k20z1 motor swap into an eg hatch. I was wondering what everyone thought about what lsd i should get for my trans. The trans is an 03 base model.

that trans is gonna need to become a 6spd by swapping gears or be replaced by a six spd....because of the gearing ull be going in and out of the powerband kinda like a LS trans and a C5 in b series motors....its possible to swap gears from the TypeS into the 5spd...

but to answe u can get a typeR LSD or the FG (civicSi one supposidly the same) or any other aftermarket one depends on ur needs and pockets

K20z1 is a 2005 Type S motor. If you are going to make any power over 450-500hp i would suggest keeping that 5spd tranny. The type S 6spd tends to starts blowing out gears when making that sort of power, due to the weaker/skinnier teeth on the gears compared to the 5spd. Also i would suggest getting a Quaife LSD best LSD on the market..a little pricey though.

imo you cant go wrong with a life time warrenty, go with the Quaife LSD, even though it cost a bunch it will save you money in the long run
