Default To LSD or not to LSD

I have a ls cable non lsd gear box for a while 325 hp 250tq. This box is a 4.2fd. For some reason I don't hear many people talkin about it in the drag world. It is usually gsr 4.4 lsd. or an ls box with some gsr gears. Do anyone run Straight ls box 4.2fd non lsd. Will I get bette?r 60ft with a lsd?(right now I am 1.8sec). Finally can I keep th?e 4.2 and just swap in a type r lsd. I just don't want my gears too shorts by swappin in shorter gsr gears.

Cable non lsd transmissions are junk. The diff pin in them ends up sliding out when the roll pin holding it fails and they explode.

Had 2 do it already. My next trans is going to have an lsd. No diff pin, no exploding spyder gears
