intake gasket
will a bad intake gasket casue my engine to surge up high. When i start it up it goes to redline then i have to turn it off. This all happened after i installed a new intake mani.

I believe you are talking about the intake manifold gasket?
I've seen them and especially the IACV gaskets (when gone bad) cause high idles and surging idles.
Though I've never seen anything to the redline about that...
Make sure your butterfly isn't jammed.

at first i thought it was the iacv but i tested it and it was good. Ill be replacing them this weekend. Do i need honda bond for the intake mani gasket???

Why not just take a razor and shave off any remaining parts of the gasket and put a new gasket on?

If the intake gasket has a leak, the idle will surge, just like if you had a vacuum leak. Did you torque everything down within spects and used a new gasket?
