Default check engine

My check engine light is on and it gives me the code p0505 Idle control system malfunction. Anyone have any tips on fixing this problem?? only really happens when you sit a a light for too long, but when you turn the car off and then back on it fixes the problem temporarily. Idle jumps up and down rapidly.

thanks, i cleaned it today and it works great now, it seemed to me like there was more black stuff in the intake manifold holes than the IACV so i cleaned both. Can the intake manifold be cleaned??
