Door harness pin extraction
96 Civic LX, 4 door. A couple of wires are loose on the power windows/locks wire harness coming from the body and attached to the door. Anybody know how to extract individual pins from the electrical connector? There are 8 pins and they are flat. I poked around but could not figure out how to get the pins to come out. I'd like to solder the wires and re-insert the pins.

there should be a gray harness where the pins insert too. that harness has a clip that holds down all the pins. pop that off and you can pull out all the pins individually.
Thanks for the reply eg6sir-s. I've spent hours on this problem. I examined the grey connector that inserts into the door jamb. I popped off the green mounting shroud. The only movable item I could find on the grey connector is a white insert on the side. I had to break this up to pry it out. There are 4 rows of pin cells (5 pins per row, 20 possible pins). Only the top two rows are used. The white insert that I broke up seems to be alignment cells in the center of the grey connector. I stopped breaking it up after I finished breaking up the inner cells for the unused pin cells. I don't see any other clip on the grey connector. Am I missing something?
I got a used harness section from a Salvage Yard for $20.00. I really don't want to do the hack cut and solder technique. Does anyone have a vendor, part number for a tool that can be used to remove the pins from the grey harness connector?
