Default obd2 ecu harness

i am putting p72 obd2 into my 96 civic dx will i need the conversion harness to plug the ecu up or no?

You won't need one if the OBD-2 P72 ECU is from a '96-99 Integra.

If it's from an '00-01 Integra, it won't work (at least not in the way that you're looking for).

wouldn't it be... it would work if it was from a 96-98 integra but not if it's from a 99-01?

No. Acura stayed OBD2a a year longer than Honda did.

Civic
OBD2a: 96-98
OBD2b: 99-00

Integra
OBD2a: 96-99
OBD2b: 00-01
