BROKEN HEAD BOLTS
well i was just getting my b18b engine ready to be droped in my hatch to be boosted...i already had a built ls head from my last setup...so i was going to to swap the heads so that my built head would be on the b18b block...while i was taking out the head bolts 2 of them had broken off inside the block
and i was like fu*kkk...but all the rest of them came out with a 5ft pole tomy 1/2 torque wrench and tugging since my engine is not in the car yet...just sitting in the floor
how would i be able to get the 2 broken off bolts out of the block?? i was thinking about taking it to my mechanic guy but i want to see if i can get it out myself

howd you brake them in the first place???
head bolts on that b18b is only supposed to be 63 ftlbs..
theres no way those would break unless over torqued or cross threaded...
good luck.

i know that they shouldnt have been that tight in there because i know the torque spec is 65-66 for the headstuds...but i got the whole engine for $100 so i have no clue on what the engine been through or the history of it...but the only thing i know is that the headgasket was blown on it...but i dont think that that would have caused the studs to be so stuck in there so tight that i had to use allot of pulling on the bar to crack them loose
its like buying a engine at the junkyard...you dont know anything about it
