Default How bright are the OEM EG foglights?

Well, I'm considering picking up a set of the OEM Civic EG foglights, but was wondering how bright they are at night? I drive a lot of dark backroads working 3rd shift and would like something not so ricey and obvious such as the aftermarket fogs. Are these truly foglights or more like secondary driving lights? Pic would be great.

here's my OEM JDM everything: fogs, headlights, corners...all stock bulbs

it's pretty bright, i noticed a difference when I put the fogs in

fogs only, wired in the E fuse spot

city lights and fogs

headlights and fogs, low beam

headlights and fogs, high beam

I will say that Hella Micro DE fogs (driving lights pattern are availible too), are the best fogs I've seen, I'm sure they'd perform better than OEM EG fogs, but I have not personally done a direct comparisson. Most fogs on cars nowadays are cosmetic; they aren't 'true' fogs that you wish for.

2coupes, thanks for the pics. How does it compare in the dark?

Chris, yeah, I know. I've been looking around for a while and it seems the like the 4" fogs and bigger are the better choices. Probably because they fit the bigger 55w and higher bulbs and have more lens to reflect. They are quite ugly though and would suit a truck or SUV better than a Civic.

My boy lives in the back country. He put Hella's behind the lower grill in the bumper. They are like 100w each....awesome is all I can say. It creates daylight ahead.

If your driving dark roads man, it's not about rice, it's about seeing the road and avoiding hitting some animal and jacking your car up.

Retro HID into some clear housings. Not a gay plug N play kit.

I did and now I don't even use my high beams, the HID is good enough. I don't even have fog lights.

I can vouch for the Micro DE. Just installed mine and wow, what a difference. I mounted mine by cutting a small section out of the lower grill, and then using existing factory holes in the bumper support. The light up the road very well and because they are projectors, they offer a nice cut off beam too.

I was looking at these today. They look like a really good option. I might go with those. You have a picture of them mounted, and lit up?
