Default Will 4bolt downpipe bolt up to 5bolt hotside?

Will a 4bolt downpipe bolt up to a 5bolt hotside? I know all 4 holes wont line up but will 3 of the 4 line up? Do you think it will seal or will it leak?

Thanks

if you take the turbo off you may be able to drill and tap a new hole in the proper location.........if you only run the 3 bolts you will probably have a leak.......

If you look at the 4-bolt housing and the 5-bolt housing, even if the bolt spacing was the correct for the 3 on the 5-bolt, its still 45 degrees off. If you take a 4-bolt housing out and replace it with a 5-bolt w/o moving anything else, NO holes will line up. Even if it does somehow work with 3 bolts, that 4th will leak, even if the flange is warped in on that side (like a lockwasher). It won't sound too great, heat up the engine bay, and introduce quite a bit of 'dead' air in there, gases that will not combust if put into the cylinder.

Spend the extra $75 to get it done right. You give hondas & turbocharging a bad name when you do things half-*** w/o the HMT element added in for laugh factor. I'd rather see a 4-bolt flange welded to the 5-bolt housing with a flux-core welder and bird-**** welds all over - and making it work w/o leaks while laughing at yourself - than a 4-bolt flange on a 5-bolt housing.
