Default Spooling performance Downpipe

Well i have a spooling performance downpipe for my t3. Its the 3 bolt flange ... But i can only get a bolt into 2 outta the 3 holes. The bend is too sharp to get the 3rd bolt in.

Anyone else have this problem?

i was gonna try and run a bolt from the bottome but its not enough room to get a bolt all the way thru to put a nut on.

Any advice would be nice.

well thinking about it. Its prolly designed to be used with the stock original studs that are supposed to be in the turbo o2 housing.

Mine are gone. So i was using bolts to fasten it down. So i assume thats the problem.

1 question

who did you buy my downpipe from and whats your setup.

p.s, just cuz it has the same bolt pattern doesnt mean itll fit your manifold.

if you pull 5 jelly beans from a jar. they may look alike... but are they EXACTLY the same in every angle in every which way direction shape or form. are their dimensions a dead on clone of each other?

take it as this...

drag downpipes dont fit revhard manifolds

neukin downpipes dont fit fullrace manifolds

spoolin manifodls ... dont fit .. any manifold you stick it on unless its what i made it for.

bottom line is .. downpipes are in most cases NOT interchangable even if they have the correct flange unless its a mass produce item that is made 100% the same like the last one over and over again .

if that downpipe. was made for a HF manifold with a *custom* adapter plate. which im pretty sure which downpipe you probably have

its not gonna fit an HF manifold with say .. a BMC or other brand adapter plates becasue they have diffrent angles. shapes. dimensions and thicknesses.

What i was trying to explain was attaching the downpipe to the turbo.

There is 3 bolts holding it to the turbo.

On the inside bolt of the downpipe the bend is too much so you cant fit a bolt in there with out it hitting the downpipe (to attach it to the turbo)

if my camera was working id take a pic and it was explain it better..

Yeah thats what i was plannin on doing. I just figured when they designed the downpipe they designed it with the stock studs inplace. So it should be an easy fix. Ill post pics to show ya what i mean tho..

You need to put a stud on that one hole.

Yup.

It was still a lil hard getting the nut on. I had to hold the flange away from the turbo and slowly screw the nut on as i let it go down.

Other then that the downpipe looks amazing!
