hi, im kinda worried out my car, its starting to act funny, it has about 200k and sometimes when im at a stop light, my idle speed would sometimes drop very very low, sometimes to 0, or 100-200. any idea? i heard low idle is cause by low compression. last time i did a compression check it came out to be 170-165.

 

So it almost stalls?

Unsteady idle can be caused by IAC, vacuum leak. Other then the idle does the engine run fine under the load?

vacuum leak causing low idle???

OP: any codes (check engine light on)???

 

no check engine light or anything and it doesnt stalls but kinda almost does it. could it be the intake leak or somthing?

 

any 1 got any ideas?

 

BUMP for this thread.... im haven the same problem, same model car xcept i have 150k miles...

at idle its very low almost to the point of stalling... under load (driving) it seems fine though. Just yesterday my check engine light went on from im Guessing a misfire when it went really low idle...

any thoughts? vacuum problem?
