turbo & air conditioning, what you know about it?
i am considering on going turbo on my b16a. the only concern i have is that i love my a/c. where i live it gets really hot from mid-march to about september. so having a/c is a must.
so my question would be, how reliable would my a/c be if i run a turbo?
i had a friend with a 94 ex, with a turbo d16. he has a/c but is constantly blowing the rubber a/c lines (the high and low lines). how do you prevent this from happening?
and yes i did a search and got no results.

If you get a heat shield for your turbo and you sheath your AC lines in reflective wrapping you'll be fine. I know many people with turbochargers and air conditioning who have never had any problems.
i think u should be fine but AC and TURBO is a damn good idea. dont listen to them fools that tell u to take out ur AC

What manifolds do you use to give you enough room to keep the AC condenser? any pics would be great too. (I searched but AC is too short of a word to search and hardly anybody spells out air conditioning)
I have a rev hard cast iron manifold..looks just like the stock one until the turbo bolts up. Of course I have a Y8 motor but that's also one thing I would never want to be without is A/C. I think it generally depends on the manifold and which side the turbo bolts onto. My turbo is on the side of the tranny as opposed to the side of the A/C. Good luck though!
