Default d16z6 hybrid build...hepl if you can

ok i just got my obd-1 conversion(90 dx crx ,z6) running yesterday now i wanna work on it, im not to sure if i wanna go all motor (very mild build) or boost( i already hace a boosted hatch) co im curious what parts(from other honda motors) will fit my z6(without alot of mod.)

valves-?
- springs?
cam- d15b(jdm vtec) anyothers?
pistons- dohc zc(for high comp)
rods-? (will dohc zc rods fit/clear?)
crank-?
throttlebody-?(i hear some b-series will fit...is it "bolt on" or needs mod.)
intake mani-? (would a b-series fit?)

thanks for any input(by the way i think im leaning towards allmotor...im in cali, and i dont want to deal with cops(if i went turbo))

oh and i posted this in the 92-00 section but not much help (and this is for my crx)

I'll try and give you a useful response. If you are gonna stay N/A and use OEM Honda parts, most of the parts on your motor you can reuse. Here's some parts that you can use:

intake manifold: D16Y8 would be the best choice for an OEM intake mani

throttle body: Any B, H, or F series throttle body will fit

pistons: DOHC ZC pistons will be good for a higher c/r, there is also the GX pistons that are high comp as well, not sure what the c/r is with those pistons. You should do some research into either piston.

All the other internal parts can be used from the Z6 as using parts from another motor won't really be an upgrade. HTH.

well the y8 intake manifold is good thats what i used for my old setup i had that port matched to a gsr throttle body

and the obd1 conversion is a must for a killer sohc setup

also if this is going into the rex i have all the stuff you would need for this swap even sum nice mugen mounts and the zc/si tranny which is pretty much a itr 4.4 with out the lsd

as for the t.b's so they will be a direct fit?

and last thing..... so the dohc zc internals(crank, rods) wont have an advantage over z6?

The Y8 intake mani has a larger plenum and larger runners than the Z6 manifold. All of those t/b's will fit with no problems, however you should consider port matching the intake manifold to the t/b.

The ZC rods are supposedly stronger than the SOHC rods, but this is only what I have heard or read.

You won't gain anything swapping over the cranks.
