head light warning light in guage cluster?
alright... so im one of those idiots who always forgets to turn off his headlights when im grabbing all my stuff for school... so of course my battery always drains, not sure how i dont notice all my lights dim and what not... i just dont...
i was messing with my guage cluster the other day and noticed all the spare slots for lights where the warning lights are, has anyone ever tried running a light from one of those slots?
i was thinking of making it a noticable color like blue or something, and just running a hot to one of the lights, seams like a better idea than having your battery drain, trying to remember to walk around your car to check, or putting a hole somewhere in your dash.

My car gives an audible tone to let me know that the lights are on. Your car should have the same feature.
No need for an additional light.

I don't know about putting a light in the gauge cluster. Seems complicated.
But, you will never forget to turn your lights off again with this:

Had one in my first EG because I am a forgetful SOB as well
My current EG doesn't get driven in the rain which is when I would forget most

i took a spare guage cluster apart the other day and it wont be that hard to put one in i dont think, i dont really want an audible warning...

Well, what makes you think you will see a blue or whatever color light in the cluster when you obviously don't even see the lit gauge cluster? Good luck anyhow.
BTW > The buzzer is so annoying that the lights will be off within 2 seconds. Can't say that for the pretty blue light in the cluster.

well its hard to see a white light during the day... its easy to see a blue light that is out of place during the day, and no i dont actually try to turn my lights on during the day but sometimes they wiggle themselves on. i dont really want too do anything with fuses

You might want to focus on getting that repaired.

the turn signal **** is completely cracked at the end, i would have to replace the whole **** thing... if that doesnt make sence i cant explain without a picture, and it wont be easy to find a replacement, its no big deal.
Somehow put a bulb into one of the empty slots. You can wire it by simply tapping power from the gauge cluster lights.
Or you can do the same thing as the buzzer but replace the buzzer with that bulb in the cluster.
Good luck.

never though of doing that, would be a lot easier to just wire from the lights in the guage cluster, lot shorter wire, what would be easiest ground?
