Doesn't the OBDII motors utilize a knock sensor? Do you have it wired up? Cause the wireing harness on teh 95 civic is OBDI....

i recently did the same swap and there is no knock sensor wiring on the obd 1 harness . you have to wire it in . also check to see if you have the plugs swapped between the vtec solenoid and the gray plug that goes in the side of the head same plug but diff color .

all the wiring is plug and play, its an obd1 car, with an obd1 motor, and the stock wiring harness. the knock has been wired in. On the stock ecu we get a knock sensor check, as well as a #6, the #6 has been fixed, now we just get a knock code...with the spoon ecu we get a #9 cylinder pos. sensor...there should be no reason for the codes thrown to change between ecu's that is whats messing with me.

Listen up I will only say this one time the 92-95 si or ex DON"T HAVE WIRING IN THEM FOR THE KNOCK SENSOR. they are wired for vtec but the shoc engine did not have a knock sensor. Here is a link for wiring of the ECU

Leave some periods for everyone else man!

You should change the title of the thread too so it can be easily searched for in the future when someone else has the same problem. Have you tried swapping Knock Sensors?

Good luck to you also.

different years and trims have little differences in the wiring.

like i said. check your wiring. all you gotta do is use a continuity tester.

the ecu wouldnt throw a code if everything was hooked up like it should be
