help with knock sensor problem!
I recently swapped a 96 gsr motor into a 95 civic ex. My friend that helped me swap it said Im going to have to find a way to connect the knock sensor, or thay there wasnt a port for him to connect the knock sensor to. Overall im trying to get this check engine light to go away and I guess the 96 motor being obd2 installed in a 95 eg being obd1 was a bad mix. Can anyone help me out in noob terms what I should do? Im running a chipped 95 gsr computer right now so that it could plug into the eg's wiring harness.

If there isnt a knock sensor on the motor then you cant connect it. So what you do is get the ecu chipped again and get the knock sensor bypassed. If the motor does have a knock sensor then you will have to run the wiring.

Okay im posative there's a knock sensor on there. Is wiring that knock sensor to the obd1 ecu going to pose a major problem? Or where exactly do the wires from that knock sensor run to?

My buddy told me that ecu has a place for the knock sensor pins. Thats all I know. Try searching for the ecu pin layout.
