well, the moroso oil pan is larger in size which would carry more oil!

if you are going n/a this would not be neccesary at all. The reason why people use it is because of the trap doors it incorporates inside for better oil availability around sharp turns, fast accelerating, or fast braking.

the other reason why people use moroso oil pans is so that they dont have to weld oil bungs for your turbo drain onto your oem pan. also some people mount oil temp sensors on their moroso oil pan aswell.

this is why you see two bungs on their 1 for turbo oil drain and the other for oil temp!

Yes,you wil need to put 5 qts. in your stolen oil pan.The pan uses a longer oil pump pick up tube. You should be able to find a stolen one of those for $1.The dipstick reads full after you put 5 qts. of stolen oil in it.

OMFG. Of course, you're going to have to add more oil. You have to add enough oil so it shows the oil at the same position on the dipstick. Whether that's 3.7 or 6 quarts. Add however much oil you need to to get the dipstick to read "full".

He's right about the pickup too. I'm thinking about paying FULL PRICE for a canton oil pan for my B16. Going to be running R-Comps and a turbo next year so, I need the trap doors, the extra oil AND the oil bungs.

do you know what model the pan is? some pans are made for specific engines! for sure you will need the moroso oil pick-up tube! i think they sell for around 40$.

also when you add oil start at 4qrts then check the oil if needed go in incements of 1/2 till you get the dipstick to read full!
