Best resonable shot of nitrous for a high CR daily driver?
Im looking into getting a conservative nitrous setup. My engine will be running 12.5:1 with forged pistons\rods, ARP headbolts but stock sleeves. Would it be too dangerous to run a 50 shot or something around there with the high CR and stock sleeves? Any input or advice would be great.
Thanks!

dry shot = a little port on the intake pipe, squirts nitrous.
direct port (wet) = little nossles drilled into the intake manifold, aiming at each intake runner. they spray fuel and nitrous
wet plate = a plate that goes between the upper and lower portions of the manifold, with little nossles attached.
tbe danger of a dry shot is that its possible for one cyl to get more nitrous then the other. as well as not having as much control over the fuel/nitrous ratio.

i dont know if its true but i heard its bad to run nitrous on high compresson motors but i guess with the right tuning it wouldnt be a problem i duno i would look into it more before you put it in

Good deal. If I decide to go thru with this, I'd get a Skunk2 IM and get a direct port NO2 system. That way I can have the IM tapped then put it in the car. About how much does it cost to have a NO2 system put in?
Thanks for all the help guys,

do it yourself...shouldn't be too hard..i wouldn't kno about the plumbing of the manifold tho...might wanna seek out sum help for that if u've never done it before
Nitrous thrives on high compression. It just takes more work to tune against detonation. Just make sure your fuel and ignition systems can handle it, and that you don't detonate. It's all in the tuning.

do u think a normal NX wet kit single nozzle would work for a high compression setup.....i have it on my car and it orks great with the right fuel....im running stock GSR comp right now....
your pistons and rest of the engine can handle the 50 shot but if you have 12.5:1 cmopression you will get detonation when you spray if you don't use race gas. if the knock sensor senses any detonation, it will kill power to the motor.
NX go boom!!!!!!!!
Only way I would run juice on a high comp motor would be 4 fogger setup. Hi compression is very unforgiving when spraying. Single fogger just won't cut it!

I've never really done much research on N02...
I know a couple high CR hondas that run 50 shots. Triple check to make sure your fuel system can handle it and that it's dialed in!
i think that mixing nos with stock rings is a bad idea. ive tried the very same thing in the past and i fried the hell out of the rings. trust me, put the extra money into a new set of rings and it will go a long way. plus if you ever want to turn up the nos for a race, you couldnt if you still had stock rings
