Default Dynomax DNX mid pipes?

The Mid pipe (B pipe) on my girl friends 97 civic ex finnaly rusted through. For the same price as a OEM crushed bent mild steel b pipe I can get a Dynomax DNX Stainless Steel mid pipe that is Mendral bent.

What do you guys think as for fitment, quility, and if I will have any problems with this

Thanks
Kyle

it'll make-
your exhaust sound raspy
you fail smog
might even get fine for not having a catalytic converter (i think maybe just cali)

Is it a true stainless? is the resignator real or just a pipe?

how does replacing anything after the cat converter make you fail emissions testing (the only thing i can think of is that since most aftermarket exhausts are fre flowing they allow the cat converter to be able to cool off uicker, so cold start emissions will suffer)? I'll agree with the aftermarket resonators making the exhaust more raspy as most are just straight through pipes with louvered perforations on the sides that has the batting/sound material. You'll definately get a big fine for not having a catylitic converter in Cali.

I bought one, pretty decent quality, the only problem is you have to cut off the end where it reduces down back down to pea shooter size and fab up your own axleback. Otherwise it's pointless.

For about the same price of OEM I give them a Fitment was awsome, quility is there, welds look good, its nice and shiny and it didnt change the exhaust note at all so the resignator actually does something OR the old one didnt do anything. But yes I am happy! On a side note now my girl tells me her car isnt loud enough so I kinda wish I would of bought her a full WS or RSR system but if anyone needs to just replace there mid pipe (B pipe) then this is a good option.

i would spray the whole thing with some high temp paint, so you aren't replacing it again in a couple years.

^^^^ why would you paint over stainless? ever had stainless exhaust? dynomax is probably a 400 series ferritic chromium alloy that is highly corrosive resistant, plus it has a lifetime warranty. Ever seen the arch in St.Louis? Type 304.

you know SS should never rust and stuff but Im not sure if the flanges are SS or what they used for a filler rod on the welds so I did spray the flanges, bolts, welds, hangers with clear high temp before I installed it all
