Default hey can someone please help me

my 88 hatch was running good for a few weeks since i got it last month and now it started back firing and cutz of when i turn it on does any one know wut it could be

Looking at your other post, it *may* have something to do with your recent damage to your front end. Are you throwing any codes though? That would help pinpoint your problem.

yeah 17 thats the only one and the one for the injectors do u think the timing could b off

Definitely worth checking out, it's possible your timing belt skipped a tooth or something during impact. Backfiring can usually be a symptom of timing being off.

check your spark plug wires from the distributor. if they are in the wrong order the car will always back fire becuase its not the right firing order. i can almost guartee its that because it happened to me. you need to find a diagram to see which spark plug wires go where.

I agree with the guy above,b16hondarex, check to make sure everything is in the rite order. After doing that then start to look into buying some small parts. Like new spark plug wires, plugs, dizzy cap, rotor. Maybe even a coil. But always look around for the problem before just spending alot of money on it.
