My car died and now it won't start.
All you may know that i owned a Acura integra but then now i have a civic hatch and there seems to be a problem. On the 1994 Honda Civic with Ls motor swap, it wouldn't start anymore. Before that it was starting and driving perfectly. This is what happened. I stop at a red light and then when it turned green i kinda launched it and it went to 8k Rpm, its got a jdm Eg cluster that revs up to 8K redline. When that happened i shifted to 2nd gear and it starting bogging and slowing down and the rpm wouldn't go up. It died right in the middle of the highway. The police came and pushed my car to a parking lot. After that i tried jump starting the car, bought new spark plugs and it still didn't start. When we jumped start it the first time it would crank but wouldn't start, when we take off the jump start wire it wouldn't crank. We charge it for like an hour. I couldn't get the car to start so i called the towing company and it ended up costing me $79. What do you think is wrong with the car? I think its the starter. What do you think? Let me know becuase i need it running as soon as possible. Thanks
forgot to mention the i got aftermarket spark plug wires and the # 4 has the middle thing on the spark plugs wires fell off but i put it back in and it cranks the same. Had that problem with my integra the other day but found out becuase i just had the wrong wires hooked up but that time it would bog really bad and the rpm is only at like 200. This ones different so i'm guessing its not the spark plug wires.
You can pull the battery and have it tested to rule that out. If it is weak, then maybe the alternator hasn't been charging like stated earlier. If you recharge the battery or buy a new one, and it starts your car, take it to a local auto parts store that will test your alternator output. Assuming your car starts, while it is running, you can pull the negative battery cable to see if it will continue to run. If not, the alternator isn't putting out a sufficient charge. (this is a lame method I know)
The engine cranks but it wouldn't start. When you turn the key and its cranking the noise kinda changes back and forth to a lowish pitch into a bit higher pitch, not like when its on and you turn the key but it kinda changes picthes.

I've tried pulling the negitave from my integra when it had a dead battery. I will try that tomorrow when i get off work. Just to let everyone know my battery is located in the back so yeah. I checked the wiring and everything is fine.
Does it click when you try and start it?(like one click or many)?
rebuild the starter?
Tap it with a hammer?
or remove your intake and tighten up the starter ground(its the wire with a cover and bolt on it) when it was loose on my car all it'd do is click...
