ok well it happened so fast, but coming out of the uphill esses i (think) i hit the gator and disrupted the susp and slid across track.. it was on grass, and the track, then back on grass. both instructor and I are A-OK. i slid sideways down the track pass side first facing the tire wall.

but this happened... (we are looking at the front tire, pass one looks like messed up camber)

i tried to get as strait as possible on the pictures.. there is something obviously wrong, could not spot anything bent our out of the ordinary when i looked under/around the car.

but the steering wheel is off... instead of the steering wheel being strait its probably 20degrees off center pointing to the left...

as in it looks like this \ instead of this |.

but its not at this ( \ ) angle..

Do you have a skunk2 (or any slide balljoint type) camber kit? If yes, most likely it slipped and not a big deal at all.

That'd be the convenient answer, hopefully that's all it is.

If your steering wheel is off, better check your tie rods etc.

no, its completely stock susp setup.

ive seen alot of this at work. ive dealt with a lot of bent susp. peices. i just dont want this to be a "non work" related item cuz i dont wanna pay for it

i looked at those camber arms today, and couldnt find anything. i need a fresh day tomorrow.

i still took it on track after wards, it ran fine, but you could tell something was off.

uh oh...good luck when u take some stuff apart...

 

Make sure your wheel bearings are still good. My car had the same thing happened, and one wheel had more camber then the other. Also make sure that both sides are equal ride height

 

bearings sound and move like they are good.

but ill also check that and the height to make sure we are on even playing field

 

Just get an alignment and see if anything is bent...might just need toe readjusted.

 

ooops, my bad didn't see the camber problem you noted. probably just need a
knuckle.

yeah. it was around those speeds.

as we were sliding sideways i was thought surely we were gonna at least get two wheels off the ground, if not flip.

if anything is bent I'd bet on it being the knuckle, if only slightly.. definitely a good idea to make sure the tie-rods are alright too.. won't know anything for sure until it goes on an alignment rack..

glad that's all you had go wrong!

 

you can't tell if something is bent just by looking at the outside... take the wheels off and start taking her apart and comparing pieces left/right sides until you identify what is bent.... i wouldn't even start with an alignment because you will have to pay for that unless you are doing it yourself.

yeah, im getting it aligned at work tomorrow.

i took the wheels off and quickly looked things over when i was at the track. i have a spare integra parts car, not an R though, so if anything is bent, lets hope its interchangable parts.
