Alignment Issue
I just had the car aligned. My alignment was all messed up before. When the car was going straight the steering wheel would be to one side. Now I got the alignment and they fixed the toe and camber. Now with the steering wheel right in the middle the car slowly drifts to the right. Can this be a tire issue. I think the tires may be worn unevenly. Can this cause the drift? The toe is set the same on both sides.
Most shops have the caster set .5 off to make the car slide slightly to the right, for either road crown or safety (if you fall asleep youll drift right instead of into oncoming traffic) Did they give you a printout of what your specs were before and after? If the pull isnt too great then its nothing to be worried about, caster wont affect tire wear, just toe and camber. However if your toe and camber was off before it could be the wear.
Well if I hold the steering wheel right in the middle then it will drift right away...seems like I always have to readjust the steering to the left a bit. I will check my print out. But can it be the tires? I went about 1 month with out a alignment after I lowered my car. The tires wore a bit and are ready to be changed but I want to make sure its not the alignment. I will post the specs later
Yes, most likely is your tires from uneven wear.
Try putting the right tire on the left side(if its directional)
If it helped , then you know its your tires.

Ok sorry I took so long to respond. I got my spec sheet and the caster is 1.3 left and 1.7 on the right. I was at the shop today and we tried to fix the problem. We rotated tires, we switched tires from left to right. We even tried to adjust the crossmember, and it still pulls to the right a bit...the civic doesnt have caster adjustment so there no way to fix this. The camber in the front is -.4 in the left and .4 on the right. Would it matter that the camber isnt the same?? also the toe is fine it is .5 and .5 on both sides.
Camber pulls to the most positive. So a -0.4 and a 0.4 would pull to the right. That 1 degree of difference would be your problem. Caster pulls to the most negative but that's only a .4 degree difference over there. If you're having a pull to the right then you should try equaling out the camber even more. With those stats it doesn't seem like it should be pulling all that bad.
