Does anyone know the torque specs for the valve cover nuts ? I have usually heard they should only be handtight.

 

Just hand tighten them until you feel they have reached the bottom, alot of people end up breaking the studs when they are torqued. They are torqued to like 9ft/lbs anyways.

 

It's 8.7 ft lbs. Make sure you add liquid gasket to the recess corners...there's eight places you need to make sure you get a good seal.

 

as my dad always says, just put them on as tight as they were when you took them off
