a friend is selling me a h22a but i dont know from which car this motor is from. if someone can help me i wil apreiciated a lot, thax in advanced

 

why do u need to know?

 

h22 comes out of a prelude.

you are in a prelude forum so you most slightly know the answer to this.

h22a should be a jdm h22.

 

h22a is from a jdm 92-96 prelude vtec
h22a1 is the usdm 92-96 vtec
h22a4 is the 97-01

whats the jdm prelude type S code then?

 

it's h22a as well. no distinction between the two badging wise.

 

thanx a lot a few people werw telling me h22a was the jdm prelude type s but i just wana make sure

 

you can tell the difference between a reg. h22a and a type s real easy... just look at the oil filter and the way it mates to the block.. the type s is angled

 

im planin of buyin the motor from a friend to put it on a civic that i have and have fun boostin the **** out of that h22a
