how can u find out if a motor is stolen ??

Default how can u find out if a motor is stolen ??

i wanna buy a car with a swap the price is rite but i dont noe if its hot it comes with no papers...the thing is wer can i go 2 find out if its hot... with out cops pulling me over and letting me noe on the spot....

in CA, you can drop the motor off at the CHP and they'll verify it for you.


you probably can do the same in NY, with the VIN off of the motor.

Is the motor a us motor? get the vin# off the motor and see what it comes back as. and if the vin# is missing=stolen. If its a jdm motor there is no way to tell if its stolen since it has no vin

its usdm h22 in a accord.. would ther be like a web site 2 do this?

yes, you can pay for a carfax

I would just pop by my local precinct and give them the vin # and tell them its a car you are interested in and wanted to know if its stolen. im pretty sure they would run the # for you without a problem.
