Default problem with LS/VTEC hehe..

well the only problem i have is gettin it built..

heres wat i have:
ctr pistons
new gaskets
new timing belt
water and oil pumps from 2000 SI
misc things (spark plugs/wires)

all id need to do is:
machine the block... shotpeen rods, bore block for pistons
new rod bearings
...then build

anyone in Dallas area want to help my build? wats ur charge..etc.

and no i dont want to go to a performance shop.. more than likely they'll rip me off with labor so on..

anyways.. i wouldnt have a clue wat to do at the machine shop, wat rod bearings i need, basically i have no clue how to build it

i have a source who lets me kno wat i NEED.. and hes having trouble gettin someone to build it for me

right now i have a gsr engine.. only prob is in the block but rebuildable if u wanted to keep that as a project hehe and eagle rods + cash ofcourse <-- wat i can offer hehe
thats another reason i wouldnt go to a shop.. im sure they are not interested in a trade like that.. and some can be scandalous

anyways let me kno..
thx

(yes, i also posted this in the Hybrid section)

You should really upgrade your rods... the ls rods aren't going to last long at 8k rpm.

You need oil lines, have the head tapped, and fittings.

yea well i have that ls/vtec oil line too. forgot

someone told me the eagle rods wouldnt fit the CTR pistons

but someones said that i could just press the pins onto the rod and solves that problem..

so i should go ahead and do this? no probs?

lmk.. ima try to get to a machine shop and bore, hone and fit pistons.. and have the pins pressed onto the rods

also.. anyone kno for SURE which rod bearings to get? .. i heard green.. just want to make sure thats right

thanks
