the car runs smooth..finally fixed the car!!! after looking over everything changeing main relay ignition relay nothing work then as i was giving up i decided to look behind the guage cluster and as i unscrewed it the light went off and the car went back to normal...i looked behind the cluster didnt find anything wrong maybe something was pinched i dunno the car just seemed to fix itself....weird
If I were you I wouldn't drive the car till you find the problem...
It most likely was a pinched wire in the cluster... BUT... that means that you've broken through the plastic coating on at least 2 wires... I would take it apart and inspect everything closely... A constant power wire crossing with ANYTHING is begging for a fire...
Especially considering whatever power source you're dealing with obviously isn't popping a fuse when it crosses with whatever other line it's crossing with.
You would check constant power to the ECU by checking the power connection to the ECU with a test light or multimeter... check it first with the car off and the key out of the ignition... and then again with the key turned to "accessory"
You need a wiring diagram though because there is probobly at least one constant power to the ecu normally... but one of them obviously is only supposed to come on with ignition.
