I have a crashed 95 dc Integra LS sitting in my yard. I would like to have everything the integra has that the 93 civic vx doesnt, like cruise control, intermittant wipers, headlight chime, and tilt wheel. Can I just swap everything over or is there alot of wiring involved?

 

i wouldnt bother with cruise controll. headlight chime might work. the tilt steering will bolt of perfectly. just make shure you bolt the u joint back up the right way.

i had a new rack put in my 92 cx after i spun off a clover ramp, and the bastards didnt put the u joint back on right. almost killed me. first and last time i ever go to a honda recomended shop.

and from what i understand the dash should bolt right in too. but you'll brobly breake some of the plastic peices when taking it out.

 

I know that everything bolts up like the steering column & tilt wheel w/ cruise control & wiper switch, just not sure how the headlight chime is wired. If you post up a wiring schematic, im sure it can be figured out. Or search h-t archives on it. Maybe (im sure) its been done before.

Just a note on the steering column swap. If your going to take the DC steering column, you may want to think about taking the DC rack & pinion too (DC power steering can be swapped over too).

- cruise is both the dash components as well as underhood components... there's a motor that pulls/holds the throttle open... you MIGHT be ablt to swap it but I'd think it would be a pita.

- int. wipers: as long as you do the dash swap it will work... it's just different resitors in the dash wiring I believe... although if the resistors are mounted near the motor you'll be SOL

- Headlight chime is just a peizo speaker wired between the power of the headlights and ground from the door open sensor on the driverside door... it's all in the fuse panel though... so if you do the dash swap then you'll have it...

- The dash swap by itself requires some wiring... and I believe there are even issues with some accesorries working...

Well I'm not looking to swap the dash because I am one of the few who doesnt like the integra interior. Once I get going on the project I will take some pics!

Yeah I already read both of those posts. I dont want to go the cheap route by getting it from Radio Shack. The finished pics of those kits looks like a complete hack job. Thanks for the idea though!
