Default crv hub, 5lug conversion (itr conversion)

I came across the latest Honda-Tuning Mag in the "exhaustnotes" they answered a question about a cheap alternative to 5lug itr swap.

I'm a little confused (and I did some searching here), they said, "for the 5lug swap, it is possible to use crv hubs instead of the ITR ones. The hubs will be less expensive, ut you'll still need to use itr axles and brakes. This setup will still cost your upwards of $600, but at least it isn't 1000-plus, like an itr conversion.

If you're strictly lookng for braking performance, there are far better, and cheaper routes to take. YOur best bet would be the "ALL IN THE FAMILY" brake swap.... We used prelude vtec rotors w/ 94-95 legend dual piston calipers. these rotors are identical to ITR rotors(you could actually use Type-R rotors if you did the hub swap as weell) and don't cost nearly as much.

OK so my question comes down to, do I use 1st gen crv 2wd front and rear hubs, and what rotors? calipers? miscellaneous?

oh what'll happen w/ my ABS?

So do you still have to modify the prelude rotors hub pattern when using crv knuckes?

i don't think you need knuckles. The prelude rotor is simply for stopping power, and not a 5lug conversion. YOu'll redrill to 4x100.

you do know that if you use crv hubs you will have to run the 36mm spline axles.
or you can just order itr hubs from honda for 120 each..

maybe the ex crv had rear disk but my friends crv didnt they have drums in the back.

if you are using crv hubs you CAN NOT use 32mm axles they simply will not work.

i saw people who have the jdm 98+itr 5 lug swaps use crv axles so i am going to assume you will use crv axles if you use the crv hubs.

THEY DONT FIT. I ALREADY TRY,ALSO TRY THE ODYSSEY...ONLY THE FRONT ROTORS AND FRONT CALIPERS WORK. HUB'S WONT FIT,HAVE TO BE ITR HUBS $600 FROM THE DEALER THAN YOU NEED NEW BEARINGS FOR THE FRONT AND REAR ITR CALIPERS AND GSR OR LS SPINDELS...

What doesn't fit? The CRV hub on whick bearing on which knucle? I would guess that the CRV hub would work given you had the CRV bearing and knuckle. And I'd assume the knuckle bolts on llike any 5th/6th (4th too?) gen Civic, Del Sol or 3rd Gen Integra?
