Tuning with Velocity/BPI Stack on prelude Question...Need Advise!!!
i havent gotten a chance to review my analysis I did with the BPi stack because a certain someone is too lazy to send me an email with my data runs attached
BUT
I was pretty suprised when i put the filter on......i gained 1whp at peak when i put the filter on. I didnt get a chance to go over my sheets as i was strapped for time while i was tuning. I'm really hoping i can get my data runs from the dyno guy so i can post up a real test.

Or it just wont matter???
I would like to run the car with the tune of the velocity stack without the filter however how will this affect daily driving with the filter on? Is this actually hurting the motor in the process?

it won't hurt anything, you just won't be getting the full potential of the stack. if anything you should run richer w/ more fuel and less air.

I'm with him.... I'd tune the car in the form that you plan to drive it.

Why would you take it off when it has shown to have no benefit at all, and possibly even lose a little bit?

because according to bpi it's better without the filter. however b.rabbit's experience says otherwise

CAI

CAI
CAI usually make a broader range of power and more downlow, while SRI usually make more peak power in a small range higher up the power band. Well at least that how I have always seen in dynos.
Personally the filter on and filter off thing wouldn't be that big of a difference, why dont you just save 2 maps and when you go to the track, take the filter off load the "track" map and your good to go.
End of the day throw the filter on re load in the street map and your good to go getting the most power in boths types of driving and honestly the adjustments would we very slight.
