Power Window how to
1: Remove both door panels
-----------DO ONE SIDE AT A TIME
2: Starting with drivers side remove both windows. Roll the window all the way down and look along the lower edge for the 2-10MM bolts holding it.
3: Remove the track there are 4-10 mm bolts around where the crank is and 2 more by the where the arm-rest was on the door panel.
4: The track slides around on wheels, the "mini" track slides around on one. Both are secured with a dent punched in them. drill out the dent and slide the tracks off the wheels. Be carefull to not damage the tracks.
5: Repeat step 4 for the power window unit from a 4 door Civic.
6: Put the mini track and track on the Civic power window unit.
---------NOTE: THE WINDOW "TAB" GOES UP AND TOWARDS THE BACK OF THE DOOR
7: Slide the whole mess into the door.
8: I need a pic of a door with the panel removed-I will circle the holes that are used to mount the power window unit.
9: Run wires through the door. I opted to not have an auto up/down for the driver side so I just ran the red wires through the door.
10: Hook them to switches. Use "DPDT momentary center off" switches. wire like this:
1 to motor
2 to +12V
3 to 4
4 to other motor wire
5 to ground
6 to 1

11: Repeat for other side
12: Put door panels back on
Please somebody get me a pic of a door with the panel off. Autocratic_1st_Gen@yahoo.com

Along with my 93 Sohc Vtec head, i'm picking up the power locks/windows froms a 91 LX. I'm interested in any thing you can share. I"m sure quite a few guys would like to have some "powa" accessories on their crx's
Power window bolt pattern. I just did this swap over the weekend and I love it!
Just a sub-note to your write up. Add some grease to those rails when you've got them apart. The little wheel will self-destruct if they're not greased for a long time. Mine were like that on my manual assmbly when I did the drivers side.

Sorry best thing I could come up with. I forgot to take pisture when I was doing the swap on mine. Putting the windows in was easy. Routing the wiring ws a pain in the ***.
I'll try my hand at ASCII. Ignore the "---"

O=where the crank handle goes.
If you look around the holes are already drilled. They are not used for anything else.

******* wrong. read my post bitch (I was Autocratic_1st_Gen).
The front door motors from any 88-91 4D are known to work, others may, try at your own risk. I was told that the rear windows also go all the way down, so those are probably a good chance.
