Default Help with brake swap

Yes I am a noob but I need some help. I am almost done with doing a rear brake swap from a 2000 Si on my 2000 Ex. The problem I have is with my e-brake cables not reaching. I followed the same mounting points for the cables except I am unsure how the cables are run through the trailing arm. There are two holes for it to go through and I am unsure how it actually mounts as I think this is whats causing the problem.

I think it's the hole closest to the rear of the car. How short are you? Ebrake cables from the Si, right?

Edit: You're in Hilo too, I should check your car out to see if everything is ok.

I'm pretty sure that they are the 99-00 si cables as they did come with the rear swap. Would there be any chance that I may have gotten the sides switched. I doubt it, but would there be anyway to tell ? Also I am short by maybe by 1 inch on the passenger and maybe about 2 on the driver. this also with the adjustbale bolt on the handbrake almost all the way out.
And BlueIntegraBoy, if I cant figure it out I'll look you up. Just want to try and troubleshoot for now and see what's up. Not that I don't want help, it's just that I hate when I can't figure stuff out. Thanks though !!!

Hope you didn't get Del Sol rear discs because they are shorter.

No I am pretty sure they are not del sol rear discs since. The new oem pads, hub bearings, and stainless steel lines would not have fit if they were del sols right ? Anways, if they don't fit after I try I am thinking of buying new oem. Anybody know the part #'s for e-brake cables for a 99-00 si ?

Del Sol rear discs = Civic Si rear discs

Same part numbers, same parts (except ebrake cable)

47560-S04-932 WIRE A, L. PARKING BRAKE
47510-S04-932 WIRE A, R. PARKING BRAKE

Where do they not reach at? At the inside mounting where it goes onto the e-brake handle?

To me they seem short overall. When I tried to attach the e-brake side they seemed short but by backing the adjusting bolt all the way back I was able to connect, which didn't seem right. Then after getting hooked up I tried to attach to the disc brake side and they would not attach. Even when I forced them it was not right as there was enough tension to put the parking brake on.
And I didn't know the delsol and si was the same setup except for the e-brake cables. Once gain, thanks for the knowledge BlueIntegraBoy ! Thats why I am a noob here !

You have to be doing something wrong here, they should fit. I made them fit with no problems on my EK.

Ok since you have experience with the swap also, when you route the cables through the rear trailing arms, how did you do it ? Did it go through the hole closest to the front or the back. I think that is where I am coming up short as there is more of an arc if I put it through the hole closest to the disc. Any chance you remember or can you please just take a peek and let me know.

I should go look at your swap. I didn't have a problem with my swap.

I had free time to work on my car and problem solved ! The reason the cables were not fitting were that they were switched up. If anyone buys these things second hand, the cables are actually labeled left and right. If you look on the second mounting tab from the e-brake handle side there is a L or R engraved into it. Also the cables are routed through the hole closest to the hub on the trailing arm. Also I just wanted to say thanks to all who tried to help ! Appreciate it !
