Default IACV keeps throwing a CEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have a 2000 GSR with an AEM V2 CAI, cleaned the filter last week (was very dirty) and figured since its all apart, id clean the throttle body....nothing crazy, just with a clean rag and small brass brush and throttle body/intake cleaner. after putting eveything back together, it idled between 1.5 and 2 grand (up and down), a day later i threw a CEL for my IACV. i reset the computer and it goes away, it seemed to get a little better as the days go on, but when in idle and the car is at NOT, it will throw a light if i dont stay on the gas and dont let it idle by itself. other than that, the car runs VERY strong, very smooth, no flat spots, like its brand new.....only when im at idle ( like at a stop light) it gets all f#cked up. oh yeah, the IACV i got in there now was brand new put in 8 months ago....i dont want to spend another 180 bucks on one.....is there any hope!!!!?????????????? please help
Bryan
everybody on this site has always been very helpful with past problems, that is why i have faith.

Clean it with carburetor cleaner. I prefer to do it while the IACV is on the car. You remove the intake, start the car, and then spray the carburetor cleaner into the port on the throttle body for the IACV (two holes before the throttle plate, it should be sucking air). This way, the carburetor cleaner actually flows through the IACV to thoroughly clean it. The car will most likely stall when you spray. Leave it sit for a minute before restarting so that the cleaner can dissolve any buildup.

Throttle body cleaner is most likely the same stuff as carburetor cleaner. It is just organic solvents. The key is to make sure that the cleaner flows through the IACV.

these IACV threads have been beat to a pulp!
and Carb cleaner is the best, i usally let it dry before i put it back on.. or at least try and get most of the fluid out.

How about my infamous "vacuum leak" theory.
