Hi all, I've been searching around for this topic but I've found mostly B16 swaps. I bought this engine originally for my CRX but now I don't have the car anymore. I wanted to get a del sol S and drop this in cuz it seems that the S are more abundant and Si and VTecs. =P My question is other than the engine...what else would I need to do the swap? If I get a 93 - 95, then I wouldn't have to convert to OBD2 correct? How do I wire up the vtec? and what ECU is in the del sol?

Thanks for any input! I'm sure I'll have more questions once I get this project rolling. (gotta get the car first)

No, a d16z6 is OBD1, if you get a 93-95 sol, you're golden. the correct ECU for the motor is p28. It'll bolt right in, no aftermarket mounts/axles needed.

 

All plug n' play my friend. all delsols came pre-wired for vtec.

 

Thanks for the info. Don't flame...this is probably a noob question. What do you mean when it's pre-wired for vtec? Also instead of doing the engine swap can I just swap in the Z6 head and keep the bottom block?
