Default Tranny Grinding

Just wondering why do trannies tend to grind is it the driver? or is it the way you shift and is there a way to get it fixed?

There are several reasons for grinding.

1. Bad synchros/sleeves
2. Not enough fluid in clutch resvoir
3. Faulty clutch cylinder
4. Faulty slave cylinder
5. Faulty clutch
6. Incorrect shift technique

Repair is is just find the bad part and replace. Straightfoward.

clutchside countershaft bearing walks out sometimes and causes 2nd to grind, that's not the drivers fault though.

most of our egs/eks have high mileage on them. so the bearings wear down, and the synchros wear down.
